Apron

Oh the joy of sewing again! I stepped into the sew and vac to pick up a presser foot  and before I knew it I had purchased a lovely Brother machine. It is so practical. It threads itself, it can go fast or slow, it will clip threads with a touch of a button and so much more.

My first project was this sweet apron which I made by tracing a pattern by hand onto a used newspaper. The best part is it is a criss cross apron so there is no need for ties or buttons. My Grandma Ethel wore these handmade aprons every day and now I will too.

"All the skilled women spun with their hands, and brought what they had spun, in blue and purple and scarlet material and in fine linen." Exodus 35:25
